Ben Preiser

Ben Preiser is a Michigan native who grew up in Howell and began studies at Michigan State in 2009. There he met his wife Alyssa, both as biochemistry students who planned to enter the medical field. However, God called Ben into campus ministry after graduation and he worked for Spartan Christian Fellowship from 2014-2019. After Ben graduated seminary in May 2024, the Preisers moved back to East Lansing to begin work as a pastoral fellow. In December 2024, they began exploring church planting in Michigan, and in August 2025 the elders at URC called Ben as a church planter to Petoskey, MI. The new plant is called Petoskey Reformed Church and aims to be a gospel-preaching, Christ-exalting PCA church for Petoskey and the surrounding areas. Ben and Alyssa have three busy and lovable sons named Calvin, Sebastian, and Theodore, whose interests predictably include Legos, sports, and vehicles of all varieties.
